"This is a special cookie. I decided to whip up a batch in variation and the winner was with the added ingredient of 1 cup of raisins. Ingredients :

2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
1/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup raisins

Instructions :

Prep : 15M	Cook : 30M	Ready in : 25M

Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Add oatmeal, brown sugar, white sugar, shortening, eggs, milk, and vanilla. Mix together. Stir in 1 cup of chopped walnuts.
Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 10 to 12 minutes.
